Top 3 Must-Have Baby Registry Items

Written by:

It’s hard to know what baby items you will actually use until you are in the trenches everyday. Having to put together a baby registry can be stressful, especially when family and friends are eager to start shopping for your soon to be little one. It was only a year ago that I was assembling our registry for our now 8-month-old. I can remember scrolling and scrolling, trying to find the perfect items. Strollers, car seats, swings, and bouncers – all with dozens of brands to choose from.

I decided on using My Registry to create my baby registry because it allowed me to combine several stores in one list. My Registry was easy to use and provides direct links to each store for that specific item. You can choose how many of each item you want, and the item gets crossed off your list once someone has purchased it.

Keep in mind that baby essentials will change depending on your baby’s needs and your day-to-day lifestyle. My approach was research through social media, blogs, and recommendations by friends and family. I compiled all the items I thought that we would use and then slowly narrowed it down to the ones we decided were must-haves. My recommendation is to start thinking about this earlier in your pregnancy, so you don’t have to stress about it later.

Now let’s get into it. Our top 3 items can all be found on Amazon.

1 – Skip Hop Baby Changing Pad – https://link.amazon/B03xXO0tw

The Skip Hop Changing Pad is a must-have in our opinion. The easy to clean changing surface means you’re not constantly washing change pad covers (this was the winner for us – who wants more laundry). The change pad also has a non-skid base and safety belt to keep your little one secure.

2 – Ergobaby Evolve 3-in-1 Bouncer – https://link.amazon/B02ltomJM

The Ergobaby Bouncer was used daily until our little one was (literally) climbing out of it. The perfect safe place to securely place your baby and they can still see the world around them. We loved the newborn insert which was supportive and secure. The fabric was soft and easy to wash and the unit folds flat for easy transport or storage.

3 – Putska Baby Diaper Caddy – https://link.amazon/B04cekWIz

An essential in our baby changing area is the Baby Diaper Caddy. The soft felt fabric is perfect for baby’s room, the neutral colours blending into any theme easily. The wide side pockets are perfect for holding tools such as brushes, thermometers, or anything that you need to find quickly. You can move the inside dividers to suit your needs. We kept diapers in the large section and items like lotions, rash creams, extra pacifiers and more, all for easy reach. More recently, we have added a few small toys to keep our busy little one entertained during diaper changes.
